Martin's Statement

"I do not consider myself to be an "artist" as I do not have a continuous compulsion to make images. I do take advantage of opportunities to make pictures when an opportunity arises, generally when travelling. Consequently, I have set up the site to log our travels over the last 20 years or so.

I have developed some skills in composition and colour over the last 25 years and have become familiar with image processing software. I believe that photography has always been a two stage process, capture and processing (used to be capture and printing).

In the mid-2000's I developed an interest in Infra Red photography and over that time I have had several cameras modified to shoot infra red only. This is achieved by removing any filter on the sensor of a normal digital camera and replacing it with an infra red only pass filter. If you are interested go to https://www.lifepixel.com. Infra red images are scattered throughout the site (you'll know them when you see them).

I hope you enjoy at least some of the images"
